Volunteer Auxiliary Board of OneEighty (Wayne County)
The purpose of this organization shall be to enable meaningful involvement in providing financial resources, increasing public awareness, reducing stigma, promoting community outreach, and educating the community regarding the programs offered at OneEighty. This organization supports all services offered by OneEighty.
Friends of OneEighty raises funds to support services of OneEighty; this includes Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services, Substance Use and Addiction Services, Mental Health Services, Housing and Supportive Services.
Being a Board Member is not only an honor, but also an opportunity to serve and strengthen our community. You would be working with a committed and energetic team who are passionate about our cause.
As a member of the Friends of OneEighty Board, you will be expected to serve a 3-year term and:
- Attend the monthly meeting and share your ideas / concerns
- Serve on one standing committee
- Volunteer to help during at least one fundraiser each year
- Consider being a patron for each fundraiser if possible, especially if you’re not volunteering
- Volunteer in a leadership position at least once during your 3-year term:
- Chair a fundraiser or subcommittee
- Chair a standing committee
- Serve as an officer of riends of OneEighty
