United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties is in need of volunteers to review all grant applications. Key duties for a Volunteer Investment Team (VIT) member include:
- Reviewing all grant applications prior to our VIT meeting, hours averaging between 12-15 hours depending on volunteer;
- Review and score program applications unbiasedly, with opportunities to ask questions to the application submitter if needed;
- Must be available to attend a one-weekday Investment Team meeting Wednesday February 12th, 2025 between the hours of 8am – 5pm, location in Wooster, OH;
- Must be a current donor to United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties prior to binder pick-up;
- Actively participate in grant request recommendations for the Board of Directors;
- Bring perspective, concern, and insight to the committee with knowledge of community needs and necessary resources;
- Assist in creating a broader community understanding of United Way funded programs;
- May assist in review of Mid-Term and Year-End Reporting.
