Writing for Wellness is a group experience focused on creative writing as a part of mental health recovery. The group is offered at NAMI's office the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6 PM. Typical group size is 5-12 participants. There are 2 facilitators for each group, so you would not be leading the group solo.
As a group facilitator, you would be responsible for developing content and exercises to prompt the participants. You would facilitate the group from 6-7:30 PM, making sure participants are reminded of confidentiality and feel encouraged and positive.
If you have a passion for writing and mental health, as well as group facilitation skills, this is a great fit. Training and support from NAMI staff is provided.
