NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties is always looking for board members that share a desire to connect to our mission. 

NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties mission:  

To provide a place of safety where all persons affected by a mental health concern feel accepted and build hope through peer-based programming, and to deliver education, suicide prevention, and support to family members and the community.

NAMI provides family support and education to people affected by mental health symptoms. 

This position is focused on facilitating a monthly family support group in Holmes County. The family support group model exists in Wayne County, but this will be our first attempt at reaching participants in Holmes County. The group is offered the third Monday of each month from 6:30-8 pm.  With a goal to start in March 2026.  Location to be determined.

Anticipated participation is 10-15 people per group, with 2 facilitators present.

Training, materials and support will be provided to facilitators by NAMI.

NAMI provides family support and education to people affected by mental health symptoms. 

This position is focused on facilitating a monthly family support group in Wayne County. The family support group model is designed to give free education and support for families of an adult loved one who had a mental health condition. The group is offered the third Monday of each month from 6:30-8 pm at the NAMI office.

Anticipated participation is 10-15 people per group, with 2 facilitators present.
Training, materials and support will be provided to facilitators by NAMI.

NAMI provides support and education to people affected by mental health conditions. 

Be a resource for our community! Represent NAMI at various community events as needed. The ideal volunteer will be friendly, extroverted, and a good communicator. 

Schedule varies - we will contact you as we receive invitations to have a NAMI table. 

Some light lifting and travel within Wayne and Holmes Counties may be required. Training by NAMI staff is provided.

Support NAMI's mission to reach more people affected by mental health symptoms!

We have a strong Facebook presence, but are interested in reaching new people by creating other social media platforms. In addition, the intern position would create attractive and strategic content to help our audiences engage more with NAMI.

Analytics skills would be a plus!
