Description: The Salvation Army was founded by William Booth in London, England in 1865. It began serving the Macomb community in 1889. We strive to meet people's spiritual and physical needs. we offer worship services and Bible studies as well as men's and women's small group fellowship. We offer emergency food and shelter. We have a well-equipped and supervised weightlifting gym in our building. When called, we respond to disaster situations to support emergency responders and victims. We operate a thrift store which helps to support our social services. Mission Statement: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
