3.Birthright seeks new volunteers!

Birthright of Macomb is an all volunteer pregnancy service center for women. Volunteers offer emotional support and practical assistance to women with concerns about a pregnancy. After completing a training program, volunteers are assigned to a regular shift at the Birthright office, usually 2-4 hours per week. Volunteers handle a variety of phone calls, especially from girls and women who are distressed about being pregnant. Volunteers also welcome and assist women who come in for free pregnancy tests, maternity and baby clothes, diapers, or who wish to talk about a variety of pregnancy-related concerns. Some volunteers help in other ways, such as sorting clothes, cleaning the office, or serving as officers and board members. If you are interested in volunteering at Birthright, please call 309-836-2021 weekday mornings and ask to speak to Linda or Gloria to set up an appointment to learn more about becoming a Birthright volunteer. 4.Summer Youth Leadership Program (Ages 12 and up)

Volunteer at the Macomb Park District! This is a great way to create leadership skills and a community service background. Volunteers help make our programs great! Volunteers can be used in a variety of areas. Assisting with special events, park clean up, office help, and the nature center are just a few of the many areas volunteers can give back to their community. Volunteers are given incentives based on the number of service hours they complete. Many of our past volunteers speak of the fun they have had, as well as the excellent job training skills gained as being a part of the park district. For youth ages 12 and up.
